What kind of Valentine are you? 7 winning ways with February flowers.

Valentines Day 2020

February looks set to be a romantic one this year. There’s Valentine’s Day on the 14th, of course, but this year is also a leap year – so if you’re planning to pop the question on the 29th we’re here to help with that too.

With 20 Valentine’s Days under our flowery belt, we know a thing or two about what works on such occasions. We’ve come up with seven different Valentine’s styles – so all you need to do is pick the option that feels right for you (or, more importantly, for your objet d’amour) and then leave the rest to us.

1. The Classic Romantic

It’s red roses or nothing for the classic romantic. Long stems, deep red, velvety petals and a scent to make you weak at the knees.

Gardenia’s pick: Red Naomi Roses, the Alexandra or the Berkley

2. The Subtle Approach

A softer, pastel palette of vintage pinks and creamy whites shouts less loudly that a dozen red roses, but still sets hearts aflutter.

Gardenia’s pick: Pale Pink Roses, the Clement or the Belvedere

3. The Grand Gesture

Is size a big deal? Opt for the Extra Large option on any of our hand-ties for a breath-taking bunch that sends a very clear message.

Gardenia’s pick: Two Dozen Red Roses, the Bellevue, or any of our extra large bouquets

4. The Non-Traditionalist

There’s more to romance than roses. If you’re looking for something that’s quirky, contemporary and outside the Valentine’s box, just ask.

Gardenia’s pick: The Nicosia, a pretty plant, or a bespoke hand-tie

5. The Undecided

Can’t work out what to buy? Leave it with us. Your florist will choose the best stems available and design a bespoke hand-tie for you to personalise with your own message.

Gardenia’s pick: Florist’s Choice

6. The Thoughtful One

Tell us their favourite colour, favourite flowers or anything else you think is relevant and we’ll do the hard work for you (we’ll let you take the credit though, obviously).

7. The Conscious One

Want to go plastic-free? We’re on a mission to become London’s first plastics responsible florist, and Valentine’s Day is no exception. Read about our planet-friendly petals here, or ask us in store for more details.

So there you have it, Valentine’s Day sorted. And there’s no need to wait until the 14th – place your order now and we’ll deliver it on your chosen day.

Shop the full collection here , call us on 020 8944 0942 to order over the phone, or pop in to one of our stores.

Lots of love,

Jamie x
